The adidas Crazy 8 is the updated name for Kobe Bryant’s first adidas signature shoe. While his time with the Three Stripes was brief, it remains an integral part of adidas Basketball strategy as the legacy of the the adidas KB8 continuing through new Crazy 8 releases. Despite the rebrand, the model holds onto the original design, centered around a wavy midsole and striped TPU section on the upper. It’s a set of flashy design choices that perfectly reflects the playstyle of the 20 year superstar at the time of its debut. 2023 brought back the model for the first time since 2018, while this 2024 brought the first ever NA-KELSMITH × ADIDAS SKATEBOARDING MATCHCOURT HIGH RX DARK PURPLE ECRU METALLIC GOLD, a cut that’s expected to continue to release throughout 2025.
