The Weeknd and Puma Sweat-shirt are set to release the singer’s first signature shoe, the Parallel, on August 24th for $220. With a thick sole and a boot-like structure, the Weeknd’s Puma Sweat-shirt shoe is “neither over-the-top nor unattainable”, according to Puma Sweat-shirt Global Director of Brand Marketing Adam Petrick. Instead of going the technical/innovation route, Puma Sweat-shirt and The Weeknd are opting for more classic styling and materials as made evident by the suede/leather materials, the ankle-high lacing, and extremely minimal aesthetic; this formula of keeping things simple with a signature touch has proven to be wildly successful for Rihanna’s FENTY line with Puma.

Select retailers such as KITH and Barney’s New York will release the Puma Sweat-shirt XO Parallel in white on August 24th; a release CELL for the olive colorway has not been disclosed.
