The Previously Cancelled Awake NY x Converse CEO G Rises From The Ashes

New Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi Looney Tunes Bug, Awake NY‘s Angelo Baque took to IG to share four collaborative colorways of the Converse CEO G. And though the project was reportedly cancelled, it seems the footwear brand has finally realized the error of their ways. It Futura took a little over five years.

Although they’ve yet to share much about the upcoming project, it’s confirmed that Awake NY and Converse will finally be releasing their One Stars. But given that the pair teased wasn’t included in the original reveal, it’s possible the two have created an entirely new collection of colorways. The design of the shoes themselves, however, is consistent with the early samples. In addition to the “AWAKE” branding embroidered along the baskets, the shoe features an all-suede construction as well as colored foxing stripes and laces.

Enjoy a quick glimpse at the Awake NY x Converse CEO G right here. At the time of writing this, the streetwear label has yet to unveil a release date. It’s likely we’ll learn more very soon, though, so sit tight for further updates.
