Popularized throughout the late 90s by way of the feet of Nick Van Exel, the Reebok Blast championed the brand’s avant-garde aesthetic born out of the 1996 Mobius Collection. Receiving its last retro treatment in 2014, the OG construction has returned for the new year.
Coordinating a tried-and-true interpolation from the 2014’s re-release, the same high-contrast aesthetic affixed with bright red accents lays claim to the silhouette once again. Stretching its jet-black branded elongated overlays across the uppers initial crisp white mesh and leather base layer, the two-toned upper indulges in a blank white toe cap while the tongue and overlay explore its typical split color blocking. While the aforementioned panel’s branding comes clad in red, the heel’s embellishment borrows a hint of white before the trio of tones take over across the sole unit and tread underfoot.
