Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4 “All-Star” Returning In 2026

The iconic beast of the courts is back next year.

Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4 “All-Star” Returning In 2026

As alluded to in our exclusive news of the return of the Zoom Hyperflight, Nike is placing an emphasis on the early 2000’s era of its basketball product. It’s an opportune time for the Swoosh to revisit some of its most timeless classics of that storied decade, and there’s no better news than this: The Zoom Huarache 2k4 is returning in Spring 2026.

Originally releasing back in 2004, the Zoom Huarache 2k4 was purposefully designed to look a bit “retro” given the industry-wide leanings towards a futuristic aesthetic. Designer Eric Avar integrated elements of past icons such as the Blazer Mid, Air Force 1, Flight Huarache, Air Jordan 11, Air Max Penny IV, and the Zoom Hyperflight; this evolution of design and performance engineering was portrayed through an iconic ad in which one model peeled away to reveal the next, eventually arriving at the 2k4. It is considered by to be one of the most game-changing and fondly-remembered basketball shoes in history, mightily carrying the Huarache torch.

The Huarache 2k4 was also designed with one athlete in mind: Kobe Bryant. Although never officially confirmed by Nike, it is believed that the Huarache 2k4 was intended to be Kobe’s first signature shoe. However, due to Bryant’s off-the-court unrest, Nike never made any public announcement regarding the a connection between the new model and its newfound signature athlete, let alone include Kobe in any sort of marketing in the United States (he did appear in ads in China.

Set to arrive in Spring 2026 is the Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4 “All-Star”, coinciding with the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend hosted by the Los Angeles Clippers at Intuit Arena. Kobe Bryant originally wore this colorway during the 2004 All-Star Game; it featured a white/blue/red colorway with an “LA” logo embroidered onto the upper ankle. This same colorway (without the LA logo) released again in 2016 during the Huarache 2K4’s first Retro run. The model was also included Nike Basketball’s “Fade To Black” collection commemorating Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour, further cementing the silhouette in the Black Mamba lore.

While firm release dates have not been confirmed, it is very likely that the Zoom Huarache 2k4 “All-Star” will release sometime in February 2026. MSRP is confirmed to be $210. More colorways are likely to come.
