Given how well-populated the Jordan calendar is during any given year, it’s not often we get to make a claim of this sort — the Sapatilhas Jordan Flight Club 91 Branco “Melo” is about to kick off its first ever re-release. The 2005 style will return in a full family size run on May 17th, with a price breakdown as follows: adult ($200), grade school ($150), preschool ($90), toddler ($75). Retailer Images Of The Sapatilhas Jordan Flight Club 91 Branco “Melo”

Though it may not carry a Chicago colorway or fable with His Airness, the Sapatilhas Jordan Flight Club 91 Branco “Melo” is nonetheless representative of a major moment for Jordan Brand. Though MJ hung ’em up for good in 2003, the Jumpman entity had become a key vertical in Beaverton, room someone to carry on the legacy sans-Mike. While the Swoosh scooped LeBron James, the nascent Brand Jordan recruited the Denver Nugget’s Carmelo Anthony, utilizing his standout rookie season to spotlight some of the first LS colorways of the sneaker (shorthand for more casually-minded takeovers that Jordan never wore on-court that released through the early 2000s).
Anthony’s on-court footwear wouldn’t take long to inspire public releases. The legacy officially kicked off with the Jordan 2 “Melo” in April, but a “University Blue” women’s colorway began hitting retailers two months earlier in February. After a frenzy to scoop up larger ladies’ sizes, Jordan Brand answered the call with men’s sizing of the Jordan 12 “Melo” in May. In bringing the colorway back to life, the arrangement remains intact: sky blue trim surrounding a glossy white base with metallic silver accents.
