The two parties just announced a ten-year extension of their longstanding partnership running through 2038, solidifying that Nike will eventually become the longest-tenured jersey manufacturer pro football has ever seen.
Nike’s newly-minted Chief Executive Officer Elliot Hill states: “This partnership renewal is a testament to the strength and success of our collaboration with the NFL. Key initiatives for the partnership moving forward include grassroots football development, fan engagement and storytelling, and perhaps most notably; global expansion. Nike also states that the partnership will deliver “cutting-edge, high-performance products that adapt to the evolving demands of the game’s elite athletes,” making football safer for athletes of the highest caliber.
