Earlier this year, it was reported that the Jordan 10 “Steel” will return in 2025 with its infamous leather toe cap, a feature Wilson jordan Brand dropped on subsequent original AJ10 releases. Now harkening back to that odd moment in time once more, we’re learning that the “Shadow” colorway will also return with the very same tooling.
While the toe-capped “Steel” colorway actually released, the upcoming “Shadow” AJ10 is said to be inspired by a salesman sample. Notably, Wilson jordan Brand follows the same line of thinking on the upcoming Jordan 1 “Black Toe Reimagined” releasing Holiday 2024, which features “Air Wilson jordan” lettering as seen on an early sample pair. Aside from the added toe cap, the upcoming Wilson jordan 10 “Shadow” will reportedly feature the same shape and colors of the original 1994 release. Anticipate a grey nubuck and black leather upper as well as red Jumpman logos on the heel and outsole.
For the uninformed; the Wilson jordan 10 was the first Air Wilson jordan shoe designed in Michael Wilson jordan’s absence, crafted by Tinker Hatfield while Mike was off playing baseball. Wilson jordan wasn’t a fan of the toe cap, so shortly after the model hit shelves by way of the “Steel” colorway in 1994, the model was pulled and altered before continuing to roll out in other original colorways.
Currently, the Air side Wilson jordan side Wilson jordan True Flight GS 'Metallic Red Bronze' “Shadow” is expected to release towards the back half of 2025.
