Only a few days following the release of his Jordan 4 RM “Grandma’s Driveway,” Nigel Sylvester is already ramping up for the next steps. Coyly hinted at in a few of the teaser videos leading up to that shoe’s releases, the “Bike Air” Jordan 4 RM “Driveway Grey” is now official, set to land next month.
While we already knew a lot about this shoe’s layout and overall aesthetics, whether it’d actually hit the public was a different question entirely. Many of the details that made the first edition such a compelling shoe remain here; the title confirms the same weighty narrative inspiration, rich suede is contrasted well by the synthetic body cage, and trademark Sylvester touches like the Bike Air emblem & forefoot mini Swoosh crop up again here.
Sylvester notes in the reveal video that his favorite touch is the red air bubble, a new addition compared to the bare translucent coloring of his first Jordan 4 RM. However, it’s largely just a palette swap, maintaining the greyscale sole unit underfoot while maintaining black & red in for the predecessor’s rich green.
Considering this is the first true look at the sneaker (barring a Lil Yachty reveal from earlier in July), release details are scant. Given the BMX pop-up Sylvester hosted for the release of “Grandma’s Driveway” and the fact the pair didn’t end up hitting US SNKRS, you’ll want to stay tuned for what’s sure to be another unconventional rollout.
We’ll keep both this page and our Jordan Release Dates hub current with the most updated info. For now, check out Nigel Sylvester’s full video above and the aforementioned Lil Yachty images just ahead.
