The Backbone Of Skateboarding: Nike To Release The SB Vertebrae In 2024

From April Skateboards and Crenshaw Skate Club to Born X Raised and TIGHTBOOTH, Nike’s SB banner has routinely shown a global spotlight on the heart of the skateboarding community. Packing an equally explosive punch outside its collaborative installments, the latest silhouette from Nike SB serves as the backbone of its latest crop of skating solutions.

Mirroring the veined mid-foot panel that graced the Nike Air Max Moto back in 2002, the latter’s textile panel amplifies the human anatomy inspiration with a rib cage-like detailing.

Deriving a mesh and suede detailing, the latter fills the vamp with perforations while the matching heel overlay receives a smooth leather official at the tongue tab. Thick rope laces accompany the silhouette similar to its SB Dunk Low counterpart while lace loops extending from the heel bring a customizable fit to the surrounding sock liner.
