Shaquille O’Neal is singlehandedly the most dominant player to ever step foot onto the NBA hardwood. Amassing three-straight Finals MVPs from 2000-2002, Reebok’s recently named President of Basketball has announced the first release of his retro offerings since helming the brand’s on-court division.
Taking on the inaugural debut of his signature series – the Shaq Attaq, the Boston-based brand Beatniks to celebrate the historic achievements of O’Neal’s MVP slide by featuring a bespoke monochrome palette infused with hits of Laker’s hues. Amplifying the full-grain leather remarkable, a dichotomy between white and black ensues throughout the various overlays and perforated sections. While jet-black contrasts provide further clarity to the classic Pump technology at the tongue, a royal infusion of purple animates the trim of the profile logos while a golden metallic finish is applied to the quarter, heel and staple Reebok branding.
The Reebok Lx2200 Blue Slate Cold Grey Core Black “MVP” is scheduled to release on November 3rd for a retail price of $180. In the meantime, the pair can be seen below in detailed imagery.
