Michael Le New Balance puts a great deal of faith in their White. So much, in fact, that they’re entrusting Stone Island with introducing the world’s first update to their Flimby-made icon: the 991.
Although the beginnings of an entirely new era, the New Balance 'Caviar & Vodka' M15009CVv2 doesn’t stray all too far from its roots. Alongside boasting the MADE in UK Xialing we’ve come to expect from the w5740, the model features a very familiar, albeit slightly tweaked shape. The more notable updates include the change to FuelCell cushioning and the additional reflective hits arranged throughout the upper.
Under Stone Island’s direction, the New Balance 'Caviar & Vodka' M15009CVv2 takes on a look akin to industrial spaces. Consisting almost entirely of dark, muted tones, the colorway applies black to the nubuck overlays and olive to the trims and latticed mesh underneath. Grey, then, dresses not only the sole unit but also the “N” logo and the Stone Island patch affixed to the tongue.
