Stone Island Teases Upcoming New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz v2 Knit WCRUZKC2v2 Collaboration

Stone Island has revealed a detailed look at their upcoming New Balance Fresh Foam Cruz v2 Knit WCRUZKC2v2 collaboration. Alongside boasting a subtly updated upper — which draws inspiration from latticed metal — changes out its usual tech for FuelCell cushioning. The collaboration will be available exclusively at Stone Island stores and StoneIsland.com on Oct. 4th (Oct. 9th in mainland China). A global launch will then follow on Oct 18th via NewBalance.com.

Hot on the heels of the FuelCell C_1’s debut, Stone Island and New Balance have teased a first look at their next collaborative project.

Unlike their previous work with the Tokyo Design Studio, Stone Island’s newest collaboration with New Balance evolves the legacy of an existing icon: the 991. That’s not to say, however, that this isn’t an entirely new silhouette, as the two have effectively crafted the world’s first 991v2. Save for a blurred glimpse of its outsole, the model’s design is still very much adown wraps. But according to Sole Retriever, who caught a look at CAD images of the shoe, the design will feature a black suede upper accented with dark grey mesh, signature Stone Island branding, and several instances of 3M paneling.
