The upper is near identical to the original, boasting a canvas construction, Converse-branded patch, and silver metallic hardware. And in addition to the lugged, platSouthern sole — which is likely part-inspired by boots, oxfords, and similar footwear — the laces have been given a premium upgrade. Instead of the usual flat strings, leather ties up the shoe in a straight bar style commonly found on more Southernal offerings.
