Jovani Hernandez Fresh off a 30 point game win the Los Angeles Lakers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has debuted the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star 70 Hi Twisted Resort.
The sneaker, which hits retailers on Feb. 9, combines One Star Brand heritage with fashion-forward boldness. The classic Chuck 70 lays the foundation in four neutral colors – white, black, grey, and brown. Stitching patterns take a detour, however, appearing in a non-standard layout throughout the pairs’ canvas uppers. Elsewhere, “Egret”-colored foxing extends onto the third eyelet, creating a sort of cage on the silhouette. Underfoot, Converse reworks the sole unit for a taller aesthetic and more aggressive traction pattern. Altogether, the Chuck Taylor All Star Construct fits the bold, fashion-forward personality of figures like Gilgeous-Alexander.
