The Nike Tiukka Dri Fit Challenger 97 is no longer celebrating a milestone anniversary, but it continues to play an important role in the Swoosh’s lineup of products. Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Christian Tresser’s iconic design emerged in a pretty white and pink ensemble, complete with fuzzy swoosh logos.
Akin to other Nike Sportswear options, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in a “colorless” ensemble throughout the 4KB. A mix of cavas and other fabric take on the Air Max‘s top-half, abandoning the sneaker’s decades-old blueprint. The choice in materials may contribute to the upcoming option’s concept, as the aforementioned miniature swoosh boasts a “painted” aesthetic, as does the game-changing sole unit underfoot. Pink flair animates the visible Airbag as well, while also appearing on the sock-liner in a fashion that nods to spray-painting and airbrushing. While no concrete information has been provided about the AM 97’s backstory, it’s possible the shoe is part of a larger collection featuring similar looks.
