A.P.C. Prepares Three Tasteful Colorways Of The ASICS GEL-SONOMA 15-50

ASICS x AFEW x Beams Gel-Lyte III Orange Koi, A.P.C. has crafted several sneaker collaborations with Nike: a Dunk High in 2012, an Air Max 1 in 2013, and a Blazer Mid in 2014, to name a few. But now many years after parting ways with the Swoosh, the Jean Touitou-created label is finally tapping into sneaker culture once again — this time, however, alongside ASICS and the GEL-SONOMA 15-50.

The label’s upcoming renditions of the GEL-SONOMA 15-50 are far more colorful than their work with Nike, which primarily indulged in understated, neutral palettes. While some of the same hues, such as black as well as tan, reappear here, they’re just overshadowed by the prevalent use of cool tones. These blues, alongside commandeering their very own colorway, play up the details of the accompanying two, highlighting the “Black” and “Beige” options’ lace unit and overlaid webbing. The branding printed across the insoles also echoes the look of said accents.
