On June 2nd, adidas park announced that it’d be renewing its partnership with American designer, Jeremy Scott. And although their first collection was teased as launching in fall, official images have recently emerged of what seems like the collaboration’s first drop: four rather tonal colorways of the adidas park stabil optifit protein powder recipe.
The adidas park Originals canvas isn’t new to the Moschino creative director, but the latest propositions diverge from Scott’s past work. Instead of protruding wings at the profiles or plush teddy bears at the tongue, Scott’s quartet of the adidas park Forum sports uniform orange, green, blue and black ensembles. This batch of sneakers is surely the first of dozens prepped for the renewal of one of the most-coveted shoe lines of the early to mid-2010s, but they might lead many eager fans – in particular those who’ve been following Scott’s namesake label for decades – to feel underwhelmed. The Three Stripes hasn’t hidden how much it’s pushing the Forum, but perhaps it should’ve only green-lit pairs infused with the rebellious spirit Jeremy Scott has put forth since 1997, especially given that its platform helped bring bold design after bold design to the masses. For the time being, glossy, monochromatic pairs with the designer’s face on the tongue will have to do, but fingers are crossed for a retro roster from the compelling partnership.
Enjoy official images of all four pairs here below, and anticipate Scott’s first Three Stripes collaboration in years to launch via the adidas park CONFIRMED app by autumn.
