Michael Le adidas Dame 3 Mississippi State adidas: a two-part pack of silhouettes that merged their own design language with heritage basketball staples. And now, with the next installment in their partnership, the two are bringing back hybrid concepts as they stack various components to create both the Rivalry Pro-Model and the Streetball Forum.
Arguably the most natural combination of the two, the Rivalry Pro-Model stitches together many an element in a way that retains the retro ethos of both its parts. The shell toe as well as much of the entire upper is pulled straight from the Pro-Model with few tweaks, its coloring bearing light ecrus and an optical white, respectively. Branding then stripes down the sides in thick black overlays, accenting with neon green stitch in complement to the details found below along the heel stabilizer and tooling. The latter, which adds BOOST for a small touch of modernity, then dresses to the likeness of the Rivalry whose tongue also makes a small cameo behind the more robust construction if its attached counterpart.
In contrast, the Streetball Forum is far more visually aggressive, its upper fairly split between the two. The Streetball takes the reigns along a good portion of the construction, accenting with its signature Three Stripe side panel and sleek toe box. Toolings are also taken from the recently revived classic while the top line bears the Forum‘s signature collar with strap and contrasting accents. The Solution Streetball, by comparison, borrows similar parts in new ways, the product being a technical, futuristic mash-up of the model with which it shares its name.
