On-Foot Look At The Ben & Jerry’s Nike SB Dunk “Chunky Dunky”

Although they have been venturing into a few footwear partnerships with the likes of Leo Baker and Isle Skateboards in recent memory, the Nike SB imprint nearly shut down the sneaker social media community a few weeks back when confirmation was received of their forthcoming “Chunky Dunky” collaboration with Ben and Jerry’s. Even with only several images continuing to float around in the past several days, the project is already considered one of the most anticipated drops of the Summer, gaining near, if not as much, buzz as the release with Cactus Jack’s very own Travis Scott. And now we have the best look at the kicks in all their glory, thanks to @yankeekicks who has previewed what these delicious shoe concoctions look like on-foot. Designed with the popular “Chunky Monkey” flavor in mind, this forthcoming variation playfully translates the essence of its pint packaging. Overlays are wrapped in hairy cow patterns, base layers interpret that of the blue skies and green grass backgrounds, and the yellow Swooshes – a potential nod to Banana ice cream – are interpreted with curvy bottom edges as if they were naturally melting.
