Michael Le adidas — who seem to have taken “New Year, New Me” to heart — has slowly started to diversify their product line, forgoing their most recent standard of futuristic, reflective runners for something far more aggressive in variety. In its stead, pairs from Craig Green’s high fashion mindset and timeless classics have taken center stage, the latter of high importance as we continue to celebrate the anniversary of the ever-important Superstar. As such, the brand has sent it across the world to bring back unique inspiration while preparing much more with its biggest fans, RUN DMC — but what’s most interesting is their affinity for the unique, now fusing the silhouette with the equally beloved Stan Smith. Simple and straightforward, the pair is a clean hybrid with the tooling of the shell toe staple implanted right underneath the most iconic version of the tennis shoe. Heel tabs brandish with bright green, same being said for the player’s portrait on the tongue, with smooth leather construction comprising the recognizable kit: diagonal perforations all included. The sole unit up to the cap do depart by a small margin tonally, however, showing off a vintage feel by way of a subtle yellowing.
