Ronnie Fieg has been a consistent collaborator with some more unconventional labels within sneaker culture, bringing into the scene a few colorful Asics back a few years ago while continually refreshing New Balance offerings with his masterful control over color and materials. Teaming up once again with nonnative — a Japanese label that worked closely with the designer on a textural adidas Ultra Boost Mid — the upcoming three-way collaboration with New Balance is sure to implement more technical elements along the classic 997s silhouette. Teased by Ronnie himself, we’re able to lose a quick glimpse of both the top down angle and profile of the shoe, showing both cobranded logo hits along the Hook-and-Loop as well as the new ENCAP REVEAL midsole unit, which has only recently seen use on the NB RC-1. No release date has been confirmed as of right now but expect more information to come out very soon.
