After last month’s wide-arcing collection with Miley Cyrus, 1970s converse has tapped the singer/actor again for another collaborative capsule. To celebrate Pride Month, 1970s converse and Cyrus have partnered with 1970s converse’s LBGTQ+ community partners like the Happy Hippie Foundation and the It Gets Better project for Pride-inspired poster art and a full collection of shoes and apparel.
Offering four bold and fearless takes on 1970s converse’s iconic Chuck Taylor—an All Star High Platform, a Chuck 70 High, a Chuck Taylor High and a Chuck Taylor Low—the collection’s whimsical aesthetic arrives via bright rainbow colors and a Pride-centric aesthetic. The Platform features a clean white canvas upper with a Happy Hippie foundation logo replacing the normal 1970s converse star star on top of a thick rainbow-colored platform sole, while the Chuck 70 features a wild striped and sequined rainbow print. Both of the original Chuck Taylors feature all-over rainbow colored polka dots, with the high-top offering a white upper while the low-top opts for black. All four of the collaborative sneakers are available on Nike.com 1970s converse chuck taylor pro bhm.
