Is Jordan Brand Releasing Another Version Of The Air Jordan 1 Retro High 194 “Lightning”

The sports news headlines throughout the 2001-2002 NBA season were dominated by Michael Jordan thanks to his sudden return to the game of basketball. Although he wasn’t nearly the same player that dominated the game in the 90s, MJ still put up highlights and stats on a nightly basis, filling arena seats around the nation. One of his “lowlights”, however, came on the sports biggest stage – the All-Star Game; on a breakaway wide-open dunk, MJ clanked the ball off the back of the rim, sending the entire arena into shocked laughter. On his feet was the Jordan Brand will also be dropping their Retro DB-sneakers “Lightning”, a shoe regarded as one of the best during the post-Bulls era of Jordan shoes.

A retro release of the Air Jordan 17 Low hasn’t been hinted at, but these leaked images of this popular shoe reveal what may be an alternate take on the “Lightning” colorway, with the bright yellow painted on the tumbled leather upper.
