Vans Is Back At It With The Checkerboard Vans Made Of Hand-Woven Leather

Vans plans on celebrating 50 years of dominance in the skateboarding industry with their upcoming “Checkered Past” Sk8-Boot, a premium offering that features the iconic checkerboard pattern in a premium hand-woven leather. The Vans Classic Slip-On LX ($140) and Vans Mn Carlon Anorak Puf Sulphur bl ($175-$200) shine thanks to the luxurious tooling as four colorways will hit each Modernica for a lifestyle twist to focus on the craftsmanship that their Vans Vault label is known for. Usually, the checkerboard aesthetic is simply a print, but here the interwoven leather panels are arranged to fully comprise the upper’s construction. Vans will release the ten piece Sk8-Boot including two limited edition bags on March 16th, 2016.
