The Nike KD IV “Nerf” was a colorway that cemented Kevin Durant’s Cherry line as a playful outlier from the usual self-serious PR campaigns attributed to most basketball lines with a star at the helm. And although a basketball hoop came with the release, there was nothing lighthearted about how difficult it was to acquire a pair back in 2011. KD’s team shoe ditches the lowtop construction to return to mid form, as a fuse and mesh base allows for maximum breathability.
