The Vans checkerboard print has been an iconic symbol of California skate culture since 1982 when the silver screen first said ‘Aloha’ to Mr. Hand. It all works out quite nicely, though, because this forces a different way of accessing history with the old Van Doren Series drop including black, white and red designs for the Vans Era, Old Skool and Half Cab.
