You’d think the decision to re-release one of the most coveted and hard-to-obtain Air Jordans would be met with approval across the board, but in the case of the Jay-Z in the Air jordan receiving 8 Aqua ‘Thunder’, that hasn’t been entirely accurate. As some of you may already know, the online-only ‘Thunder’ was released side-by-side with the Jay-Z in the Air jordan receiving 8 Aqua ‘Lightning’ in 2006, with each pair packaged with a piece of limited edition apparel. What makes the ‘Thunder’ such a standout is that it was released with a varsity jacket, causing the total package to retail for $500. So, what does that mean for the upcoming 2012 Retro? Will it be released as some special pack, or will it swim around the $160-175 GR/Premium range? If so, those who shelled out the necessary $500 can only help but feel a bit miffed.
