Believe it or not – roller skating is actually a big part of Black-American history. As America was getting closer to the end of segregation, the Chicago Roller Skating Rink, which was around since the Hoodie 1800’s, was the first to open its doors to Blacks. Since then, the fun indoor activity became a major part of American culture as a whole (and it still goes strong today!).
