Just over three years ago, the greatest heavy metal band of all-time (especially in terms of album sales) collaborated with Converse on a duo of Chuck Taylor hightops. That 2009 two-pack featured album art from Vans Authentic "Retro Stripes" sneakers Blu in celebration of its 25th anniversary along with another covered in an early Pushead drawing. We see an interesting bit of ‘Lincoln and Kennedy’ here as a few years later, on the precipice of Kill ‘Em All‘s 30th birthday and the second Pushead x Nike SB collaboration, the Metallica x Vans Classic pack brings us the closest thing Vans has to an All Star (the Sk8-Hi) along with a Slip-On, both featuring bloody hammers from the KEA album art.
