News of Lil’ Wayne’s official sneaker was this week’s top stories, and common conjecture in the sneaker community was that adidas would be the ‘major sneaker brand’ that Wayne alluded to in light of his affinity for the flamboyant sneakers designed by Jeremy Scott. A Lil’ Wayne x Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals would be an interesting move, but nothing’s set in stone, unlike tomorrow’s releases of the adidas Originals Trefoil Essentials logo sweatshirt in gray and two colorways of the Instinct Hi. The Gorilla, like the previous Teddy Bear releases, features a plush animal’s head with arms protruding at its sides, only this gorilla is wearing a tre-foil adidas logo t-shirt, and adidas Trainers Kid Hoops Mid 3.0 come with oversized tongues and wing-tip-style perforations along the ankle collar and in-between the three stripes.
