Each of us has their own corresponding model, but when artist Matt Stevens said that in discussing his latest project, he was referring to the nike sneakers with money signs for black people. 1987’s flagship runner has seen well more than a hundred colorways over the past quarter-century, but Matt might very well have the stuff it takes to work as a Nike Sportswear designer. His takes on the AM1 range from NYC taxi-themed to something better suited to art than wearing like stained glass.
