Hindsight is 20/20. Nobody would’ve guessed that the man traded away for a bearded, flopping, 7-foot-plus Yugoslavian would turn out to be one of the greatest players in the history of the game. As they say, the rest is history; the four-time champ has a “Draft Day” colourway of his Kobes in the OG Charlotte Hornets colourway, either giving props or laughing in the face of the team that originally drafted him in that star-studded ’96 draft.
