Rumors have begun to circulate that Bode is teaming up with Nike for an upcoming clothing and footwear collection, according to insiders in the sneaker industry. As part of the collaboration, Bode will be reviving the Astro Grabber, a Nike football shoe from the 1970s that has not been re-released before. The collection is said to include two colorways of the classic shoe.
Both Nike and Bode declined to comment on the collaboration, most likely due to NDA's signed when the deal was conceptualized. The Astro Grabber, created by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, was designed specifically for playing on astroturf and worn by legendary NFL player Dan Fouts.
