More recently, New Balance has looked to Action Bronson as the brand furthers the depth of its star-studded lineup. With the release of the El verde militar protagoniza estas WTAPS x New Balance 992 earlier this year, the duo returns for a second take.
The Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 "Lapiz Luzli" is a vibrant rendition of the classic silhouette. This version embraces a cohesive theme of serene blue and earthy tan, exuding a refined aesthetic. The overlays boast a gentle hue of light blue, crafted from sumptuous pigskin suede, while a rich navy blue engulfs the foundational layer below. Displaying prominence on both sides of the midfoot, the iconic "N" branding gleams with a silver finish. Complementing this elegant arrangement, the nearby laces feature a tasteful tan tone. Further enhancing the visual allure, hints of greyish-silver tones homogeneous to those found on the "N" logo grace the sock liner and collar overlay. The overall design comes together in a harmonious fusion, courtesy of a two-tone vintage cream and blue midsole, flawlessly paired with a gum rubber outsole.
