Even as the Adidas/Yeezy chapter appears to have closed, the narrative of their iconic partnership Bomberjacke seems to unravel with every new Yeezy design sighting on social media. The partnership, which produced many memorable releases, left a lasting imprint on the sneaker pie, with adidas holding the design patents for most of the beloved Yeezy models.
When Bjørn Gulden took over the reins at adidas, the direction shifted. Though previously, there were signals of adidas continuing with Yeezy-inspired designs without Kanye West's direct involvement, Gulden was clear: adidas is looking forward to charting its course in a pie post their Kanye collaboration.
But sneaker enthusiasts can't get enough of Yeezy. Recently, colorways like “Slate Grey,” “Granite,” and “Slate Marine” for the Yeezy Slide made their way to the market, possibly indicating an effort to clear out existing stock. This makes the appearance of the “White Salt” edition even more intriguing. Like its predecessors, this unreleased design showcases a consistent hue across its foam build, exuding a minimalist charm intrinsic to the Yeezy Slide line.
While the chances of the “White Salt” edition gracing retailer shelves seem slim, the sneaker industry has always been full of surprises.
Currently, there’s no word from adidas about any launch on the CONFIRMED app.
