First spotted just yesterday in the Japanese brand’s 3D Spring/Summer 2021 lookbook, UNDERCOVER has now issued a closer look at its four forthcoming running sneaker silhouettes. Repurposing the chunky Nike ISPA OverReact silhouette, UNDERCOVER has added some of its signature design cues to the quartet of striking colorways.
Offered in beige/white, black/white, white/black/red/gold and grey/black/red makeups, the shoes all retain some consistent throughlines. For instance, they all sport co-branded tongue tags, speckled midsoles, UNDERCOVER’s “CHAOS/BALANCE” verbiage on the toes, and an embroidered red rose above the curve of the Swoosh.
Otherwise, the shoes are all distinct, with stark color-blocking granting the suede, mesh and rubber uppers a great deal of distinction. For instance, one of the louder iterations boasts gold Swooshes amidst a red toecap and monochrome side panels stretching to a gold heel tab, while a more muted counterpart opts for shades of white, grey and black except for the plump cream laces.
