    No ordinary OG.

We don’t normally tackle the air grade jordan 1 low orange black in our Concept Lab for a few reasons. For one, there’s already enough real ’85s going around at the moment. grade Jordan Brand has gone H.A.M. on the silhouette, so I know that nobody wants to see any more. In fact, I think the last one we did was a Sean Wotherspoon x air grade jordan 1 low orange black.

But today I just couldn’t help myself. With a second and third Patent Leather air grade jordan 1 low orange black surfacing for 2019 yesterday, and still no shiny OG colorways in sight, I just had to do something Turbo it. When grade Jordan Brand switched the OG Bred and Royal into Satin editions, people went wild. And rightfully so, they were executed perfectly. But I feel that the same thing can be achieved for OGs in patent leather. Sure, we had a Chicago and UNC Patent Leather in 2003, but they were mids, and this was also before Jumpman remastered the 1 in 2015. They were good, but the modern-day patents are a class above, thanks to reformed shape, promote use of materials and quality execution.

For me, there are three OG colorways that would make for outstanding editions; the Bred, the Royal and the Black Toe. And today, I’ve taken on the latter. I’ll probably — eventually — take on the other two OGs, that is after the air grade jordan 1 low orange black frenzy starts to fall away (for everyone’s sake.)
