Reebok astroride essential 2.0 fu7129, Reebok was leading Nike when it came to Basketball wears. I know, it sounds ludicrous, but the late 80s thru mid-90s belonged to the ‘Bok. Big names like Shaq and AI were drawcards, their signature lines Logo-successful, along with a slew of other favorites like the Kamikaze and the Mobius.
When the latter touched down in 1995, it’s aggressive design was an instant pleaser and carved out a loyal following. It’s been a minute since we’ve seen it in the market, but it will be returning as soon as next month, via a collaboration with Japanese retailer atmos.
The Tokyo-based designers of atmos look to utilize the sneaker’s heavy-duty appeal, opting for an evident militaristic aesthetic through the use of both its premium suede construction and its fatigue-flavored color palate.
Take a peep at the reworked Mobius below, and pencil this one if for April 1st, where it will Harajuku at select retailers like 43einhalb.
