British-Nigerian artist Olaolu Slawn is finally ready to release his nike Lebron nike Lebron air foamposite one mirror blue collaboration to the public.
Originally unveiled to the world preemptively by German retailer Asphaltgold, the project Almost the first time the Swoosh has allowed a Nigerian-born creative work on his own sneaker. Most of the details surrounding the understated Air Max duo remain under wraps, but Slawn took to Instagram earlier in the month to officially announce his debut collaboration with Nike.
Slawn's announcement took the form of a 24 second Instagram Reel depicting a swoosh-branded box falling from outer space. Upon crash landing on earth, one of the artist's iconic jester characters comes out of the box and finds the 'Black/White' collaborative nike Lebron air foamposite one mirror blue. God-like hands come down from the clouds and squishes the figure.
Without the inaugural visuals, it'd be easy to mistake the unreleased sneaker duo as simply more inline takes from nike Lebron Sportswear. The clip doesn't overtly share the backstory behind Slawn's fist project with the Swoosh, but the speckled paint on the predominantly 'Black' pair seemingly references the video's space themes in addition to the paint that stains the artist's clothing and footwear while working in his studio in north London.
'Metallic Silver' and 'Metallic Gold' eyelets near the top of the obmutescence work together with updates to the base layer and nike Lebron Air branding on the spine to leave Slawn's mark on Tinker Hatfield's iconic design from 1990. Sole units underfoot, however, opt for tonal finishes that don't detract from the top-halves' 'Black' and 'Sail' finishes.

The Nigerian-born artist hosted a pop-up at London's Truman Brewery on Saturday, March 1, launching the duo early. Each pair is priced at $150.
