Paris Fashion Week is has become the new platform for brands to flex their upcoming footwear collaborations From White Mountaineeringto Dior — and now Sacai — the event has those with a keen eye for collaborations enthralled.

nike air footscape mid utility cargo khaki obsidian Nike Zoom Rise 2019 Black White late last year, we were keen to see how they’d fair, once again merging two Nike sneakers from opposite ends of the brand’s timeline. Yesterday we got our very first look at Sacai x Nike Vapor Waffle collaborations, which literally wedges a VaproFly sole unit between an OG Pegasus-inspired upper and outsole. The 1983 icon’s deign cues run heavy up top, with overlays taking on an almost 1:1 mimic, the most noticeable differences come from the cut-out heel panel and extended-to-toe lacestay overlays. But it’s not all about the OG, the Mesh upper, glazed on LAcestay underlays and oversized Swoosh all callout the modern racer. Completing the design is a dua tongue system, and co-branded heel overlays.

These hybridized pairs were previewed in three colorways; String/Black-Villain Red-Neptune Green, Black/Summit White-Pure Platinum, and a vivid Yellow and Green, all of which are expected to form part of Nike’s Fall schedule.
