Nike Unveils Kobe 9 EM "Think Pink" PE in Honor of Kay Yow

Nike Basketball continues its tradition of honoring Kay Yow, the legendary women's basketball coach and breast cancer awareness advocate, with a special "Think Pink" Player Exclusive (PE) for its college basketball partners. Marked by the Y-shaped ribbon, these annual tributes have become a staple in Nike’s lineup, previously appearing on Kevin Durant’s Aunt Pearl series and other signature models.

For 2025, Nike has chosen the Kobe 9 EM—the Engineered Mesh version of the Kobe 9, set to make its long-awaited retail return page this fall. The "Think Pink" PE comes dressed in a vibrant pink color scheme, incorporating multiple shades to create a striking visual tribute to the cause. The Y-shaped ribbon is prominently hypervenom on the heel, reinforcing the sneaker’s connection to breast cancer awareness and Kay Yow’s enduring legacy.

Though this Kobe 9 EM "Think Pink" PE will remain exclusive to Nike’s college basketball partners, its unveiling adds more fuel to the excitement surrounding the Kobe 9’s 2025 comeback.
