The blueprint for sneaker brands to reintroduce an archival model is no secret. In fact, it’s a fairly basic recipe; call in a notable collaborator to heighten the awareness of the silhouette’s reintroduction, then pepper the market with some flow-on general releases. Now the Boston-based brand will look to bring back another silhouette from the archives, enlisting the help of long-time collaborators from Korea, thisisneverthat.

Expected to be the first release in the silhouette’s rebirth, the New balance 2002r белые черные кроссовки женские sees a return of the classic runner from 2009. Similar to other runners from the era, the pair boasts aggressive overlays set of sharp angles and metallic finishes. All of this rests atop a breathable mesh upper which was in vogue at the time. It appears, though, that New Balance has scrapped the forefoot NRG system, only enlisting it at the heel for the 2022 remake. It does, however, retain it’s signature Nlock lace system at the midfoot. Color-wise, the Korean streetwear kings have tacked on an aged-look aesthetic, with classic grey mesh complete with pre-dirtied particle, silver and navy overlays, and aged-look midsoles to add some throwback charm.
