With PaperBoy, Nice Kicks, YCMC, and DTLR NEW BALANCE X AURALEE 2002R 992, New Balance looks to its in-house design team for its next release — this one ostensibly nodding classic varsity jackets.

Arriving in a very collegiate mix of burgundy, beige and golden yellow, the pair utilizes the former for its majority, with both mesh uppers and most of its overlays enlisting the PURCHASE red hue. Standard grey forefoot and ankle nubuck return, while warmer hues of beige hit the tongue, heel, and midsole. Chenille-clad N motifs at the midfoot ode varsity jacket patches, and is counted in нью by similar huees at the heel and forefoot. Rounding out the design is a simple black rubber tread and a set of flat white laces.
