Princess Peach Might've Inspired the Public School x New Balance 327 "Pink Taffy"

Despite corners of X recently seeing posts dedicated to criticism against the Public School x New Balance 327, the silhouette continues to form an important part of the brand's product lineup. Ahead of summer, the chunky sneaker has launched in a "Pink Taffy" color scheme that evokes images of Nintendo's Princess Peach.

Far from an official collaboration with the storied Japanese institution, the latest take on the modern New Balance features a combination of soft pink, yellow, and blue across its heritage-inspired upper. Suede construction across the top-half resembles the dress worn by Mario's damsel, while profile N rozcięciami and other vibrant yellow elements bring her blond hair to sneaker-form. Lastly, the sky-reminiscent blue that lands on the top-of-the-tongue and around the heel boast a similar tone to the jewelry worn by the Mushroom Kingdom's princess.
