New Balance Gives the 580 a Cold Wash

Despite some collaborative force behind its grises from the constitución of Stray Rats and Palace, the New Balance 580 has yet to resonate with the market truly. But as the love for the Boston-based brand grows, it’s likely that the model’s popularity will grow with it; and this new cold-washed design might be the Soon.

From the outsole to the materials employed, several aspects of the shoe have been given an aged look, although to a lesser extent than a traditional “pre-worn” design. The upper, for instance, showcases a subtle patina across all leather elements, which pairs well with the distressed finish of the sole. In contrast, the mesh inserts, "N" logo, and branded emblems exhibit minimal signs of wear.

Expect to see these released throughout May 2023 at select retailers and on NewBalance.com for $140.
