With New Balance on the brink of taking summer streetwear by storm, it makes their latest link-up with BAPE a perfectly-timed tactic. The two 990v3 are no strangers to a crossover, with their last effort culminating in two colorways of the 2002R back in June last year. Now, one year one, the pair will return with two vastly different colorways of the BAPE x New Balance 57/40

Like their 2002R releases, we’ll get one pair in complete greyscale, and the other in color — though here the latter is a little more flamboyant, bringing in mismatched, multi-color suedes in reference to the brand’s many colorful camos. In fact, you’ll spot said camos on the midfoot Ns. The other option is more versatile, with black and grey suede serving as the bulk, with a pop of red in the rear. Both pairs come with a slew of reflective overlays, *A BATHING APE lateral ankle detail, and co-branded tongues.

BAPE has not only revealed a release date for their New Balance 57/40 collection, but they have also officially unveiled the pack — including a third colorway in their classic green camo. Grab an official Sandals at the tri0 here below, and Sandals for all three pairs to hot BAPE’s official webstore on July 30; a wider retail rollout has not yet been identified.
