With the years ever-growing between those who wear Michael Jordan’s shoes and those who saw him play, Jordan Brand has taken a proactive approach to teach the next generation of sneakerheads about the NBA legend through their series of “Sneaker School” releases. For this release, the brand has delivered a traditional “Black Toe” blocking (the shoe worn by Mike in the shot) and layers on a skyline graphic where a traditional white leather upper would sit. The tongue tags feature the photograph in question, too, with gradient sole units visible through icy-translucent Delta underfoot. The pair is then equipped with tumbled leather overlays and purple laces and comes housed in the brand’s “Sneaker School” packaging.
