First Looks // Jordan included the “Multi-Material”

Known for its experimentation with color, blocking, and material makeup, this aptly titled new Jordan included the “Multi-Material” is everything the silhouette strives to be; bold, colorful, and experimental.

It, like its accompanying Air Jordan 1 Mid for kids, sports a different finish on each and every pane, though it’s not ad gaudy in hue. Starting from classic white leathers at the toe, the pair then layers on overlays of all-blue, each with its own unique textile. Textured nylon toes lean into bubbled forefoot lockdowns, whilst eyestays and heel overlays arrive in direct contrast of patent leather and suede, respectively. Waffle mesh mid panels give off a warm golden hue; a warm welcome for corduroy Swooshes of mustard and red on the profile panels. Ribbed white collars and tongues then complete the textile pile, with hits of green in the rear, mismatched insoles, and two-tone sole units Leonard out the design.

While an official release date for this new Jordan included the “Multi-Material” has yet to be revealed, one would expect that these would likely be scheduled for Fall 2022.
