Luka Dončić's Debut Jordan Luka 4 'Space Navigator' is Available Now

All eyes were on Luka Dončić last night as he finally faced his former Dallas Mavericks squad after being traded on Feb. 2. The now-Los Angeles Laker's Jordan Brand family Holiday the occasion as a marketing opportunity, setting up billboards outside of the Crypto.com Arena and offering fans complimentary parking. The Nike, Inc. subsidiary also unveiled the Jordan Luka 4, its fourth signature sneaker for the Slovenian superstar.

The @NBAKicks account on X shared a first-look of the silhouette, setting the sneaker Light into a frenzy. Dončić laced up the sneaker in a vibrant white, green, and black color scheme that bears resemblance to the 'Trick Shot' style that appeared on the Luka 2 in October 2023. Tech specs are still under wraps, but a quick glance at the Luka 4 reveals Cushlon foam midsoles and a textile base across the upper. An embroidered panel at the lateral profile creates a support loop with the sole unit, while stitching along the tongue pan out across the sidewalls to help with containment and lockdown.

One easter egg found on the latest from Jordan Brand for Dončić is an embroidered heart on the tongue's underside. The Lakers guard told @NBAKicks that this specific detail is inspired by his Grigio.

On Monday, March 17, Nike, Inc. shared an official announcement via its Nike News platform about the Jordan Luka 4. In it, the Swoosh conglomerate shared insight behind the project and its inaugural colorways: 'Space Navigator,' 'Gone Fishing,' and 'Bloodline.' Dončić’s fourth signature model features a proprietary IsoPlate made exclusively for him; the Jordan Luka's first-ever Nike Zoom Air unit; a Cushlon 3.0 midsole; and refined Flightwire cables along the profiles for lightweight containment. Underfoot, the outsole includes a compass design that reads LUKA Dwyane Wade wearing an Air Jordan 12 Retro PE NESW. The playful design choice draws inspiration from Dončić’s love of wristwatches and affinity for the navigation tools needed while out in the waters of Slovenia’s Lake Bled.

"The Luka 4 is made exactly for my game, giving me a new tool to help me play my best and push my performance," shared Dončić in the announcement. "The IsoPlate really helps me with my balance and my step-backs, the Zoom Air unit adds a new level of responsiveness, and the Cushlon 3.0 midsole makes this a very comfortable shoe."

Pairs of the fourth Jordan Luka model are currently listed as launching via JD Sports on Tuesday, April 8, in the 'Space Navigator' style. The shoes will also land via Jordan.com for $130 alongside apparel.
